30 Hot Summer Work Outfits Without Cramping The Style
Dressing up during heat waves is always tricky but dressing up for work without sacrificing style on such days is even harder! But don’t worry, gals, I’ve found some beautiful hot weather outfits for work and some tips to withstand such weather.
Choose Natural Fabrics
Skip synthetics and embrace linen, cotton, silk and other fabrics that are natural or at least let your skin breathe well, on a hot day it’s essential. Linen is trendy for summer and you can find more and more stylish clothes items to choose from, so you may easily create a full linen outfit for a hot working day, with a short suit (if it’s allowed) or some other pieces.
a black halter neckline top, a black printed A-line skirt with a belt, black heels for a sleek and chic look
a black spaghetti strap top, white cropped pants, black mules and a black bag for a chic and cool hot day look
a black spaghetti strap top, white wideleg trousers - just grab a bag and you are ready to go
a black strap top, white linen trousers, black strappy shoes and an elegant black bag for a monochromatic summer look
a black thick strap top, cropped linen pants, a black belt and black Oxford shoes for a hot summer day
a black t-shirt, white high waisted pants, black strappy shoes and a brown saddle bag for summer
Go For Loose Fit
Skip all-sleek and fitting looks and choose at least one item that would be loose or a bit oversized – this guarantees that air flows will move on your skin making it cooler. Even if you are rocking a fitting top, choose oversized or wideleg trousers to pair with. Choosing clothes let some air be between your skin and the fabric, so you’ll feel better. Shorts and skirts will also be a better choice than trousers, try a knee or midi skirt or Bermudas if usual shorts aren’t allowed in your office. Nothing of that kind at hand? Then choose linen trousers and you’ll feel cool in them, too.

Skip Heels If Possible
Wearing heels on a hot day is very uncomfortable and can cause various issues, so if it’s possible, wear sandals, mules, some flats or at least a platform but no heels. Think of wearing espadrilles if they match your look – they are perfect for hot days and keep your fett comfortable. No espadrilles? Choose strappy sandals or wide strap platform shoes.
